Surabaya is now the second largest metropolis in Indonesia. Of course it is a bustling city, a city that is so diverse, a city that is multi-ethnic and from an environmental point of view, this city is a giant city that is quite green.   • Surabaya North Quay

You can find a unique tourist attraction in the city of Surabaya. Its name is Surabaya North Quay. This place is a stopover terminal for luxury cruise ships that are packaged in such a way that it becomes an attractive location for sightseeing.

1. Ice Palace

Various kinds of games are there with the theme of winter toys and recreation. Because the theme of this location is ice or snow. Overall in this room the temperature is -15 degrees Celsius.

2. Dino Land

The theme of this location is the Jurassic Age, so the tourist attractions here are about Dinosaurs. There is a train that takes you back in time, with dinosaurs present everywhere

Sampoerna is a tobacco-based business empire. The Sampoierna family established their business from the beginning in this city. So that this museum is also a museum of tobacco (kretek cigarettes) which is memorabilia from their efforts so that now they have become a giant tobacco in Indonesia and Asia.

What's unique is that when you enter this museum you can also go around Surabaya for free. In the museum yard parked a special red bus to take visitors who want to get around the city of Surabaya.   • Keputih Bamboo Forest Park

Bamboo is an important plant for Indonesians, is a building material, material for making household utensils, making food and others. The bamboo forest is also a very important ecosystem for humanity and the life of this planet.

On Jalan Raya Marina Asri, Keputih area, Surabaya there is a location of 40 hectares, used as an urban forest that is intended for bamboo trees.

Bamboo trees in this forest area are planted parallel and in some parts form beautiful alleys. Green bamboo leaves and some of them that have fallen down add to the atmosphere and the scenery is even more beautiful. 

Opened for free for 24 hours full. You can study bamboo trees and enjoy their beauty there.

  • Wonorejo Mangrove

Surabaya's mangrove tourism is quite famous and is a green lung for the bustling life of the city. The location is on Jalan Raya Wonorejo, Rungkut area.

The 200 hectare mangrove forest area is a very beautiful natural tourist spot that soothes the eyes. In this place has many interesting things that you can try. Among them is exploring the forest area using a boat with a rental fee. Apart from that, there are also fishing ponds, jogging tracks, pavilions, culinary center canteens, photo spots and more. 

Mangrove Wonorejo

When walking in the jogging track area for 2 kilometers, you will be able to see the melodious sound of birds chirping, including seeing swamp crabs clinging to the roots of the mangroves. Beautiful scenery that you may rarely see in the city center. 

Entrance to this tourist spot is free. You will only be charged when enjoying some of the facilities in it, such as renting a boat to explore the mangrove forest. The fee for adults is IDR 25,000 and children IDR 15,000.

  • Pakal City Forest

The urban forest covering an area of approximately six hectares is an important spot to maintain the balance of the city's ecosystem. Located in Sidorejo, Surabaya, this urban forest is managed quite neatly.

Apsari Park has been around since the Dutch era, formerly known as Kroesen Park. Although basically this is a city park, Apsari Park can also be said as a botanical garden, because so many plants are grown there. The location of this park is in the Genteng district, Surabaya city

  • Cheng Hoo Mosque

Cheng Hoo Mosque is the first mosque in Indonesia to use Chinese Muslim names. This mosque has an architectural blend of Chinese and Arabic culture and is dominated by red, green and yellow colors.

Cheng Hoo Mosque on Jalan Gading No 2, Ketabang, Genteng District, Surabaya City. The mosque was built in 2001, and was inaugurated on May 28, 2003.

  • Sanggar Agung Temple

Sanggar Agung Temple or Hong San Tang Temple is a temple in the city of Surabaya. The address is at Jalan Sukolilo Number 100, Pantai Ria Kenjeran, Surabaya. This temple, apart from being a place of worship for adherents of the Tridharma, is also a tourist destination for tourists. This temple opened in 1999.

Sanggar Agung Tenple

The hallmark of this pagoda is a statue of Kwan Im as high as 20 meters which is located by the sea. This temple is dedicated to Nan Hai Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa or South Sea Kwan Im Bodhisattva. This statue was built after an employee of Sanggar Agung saw a woman in a white robe walking on the water when she was closing the Temple at night. The sighting is believed to be the appearance of Kwan Im himself. Another icon from Sanggar Agung is a giant gold-plated Phra Phrom statue.

Visiting this temple you can also see the four-faced Buddha statue which is part of the temple.

  • Tian Ti Pagoda

Tian Ti Pagoda or the sky of the earth is an exotic icon that is often the destination for tourists to take pictures at Kenjeran Park. Tian Ti Pagoda is a duplicate of the pagoda in Beijing, China, also known as the Temple of Heaven. At Kenjeran Park stands a replica measuring 60m x 58m, bigger than the original.

The Temple of Heaven is is the other name for a temple that has high historical value and is one of the cultural heritage buildings in China. At Kenjeran Park, at the front of this pagoda there is also a giant stage for the annual Chinese New Year festival.

  • Suramadu bridge

The Suramadu National Bridge or Suramadu Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Madura Strait, connecting Java Island (in Surabaya) and Madura Island (in Bangkalan, east of Kamal to be precise), Indonesia. With a length of 5,438 m, the Suramadu Bridge is currently the longest bridge in Indonesia. The Suramadu Bridge consists of three parts, namely the overpass, the connecting bridge and the main bridge. The road that crosses this bridge was previously a toll road since its inauguration in June 2009 to October 2018.

Suramadu Bridge

The Ground Breaking for the construction of this bridge was carried out by President Megawati Soekarnoputri on 20 August 2003 and the construction and inauguration of its opening by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on 10 June 2009.[2] The construction of this bridge is aimed at accelerating development on Madura Island, covering the infrastructure and economic sectors in Madura which are relatively lagging behind compared to other areas in East Java Province. The estimated cost of building this bridge is 4.5 trillion rupiah.

The construction of this bridge was carried out from three sides, both the Bangkalan and Surabaya sides. Meanwhile, concurrently the construction of the middle span consisting of the main bridge and connecting bridges was also carried out. This bridge was inaugurated along with the inauguration of Jalan Raya Bogor  (in Bogor City, West Java) with the status of a National Road.

This bridge has a beauty that you can enjoy when crossing the Suramadu Bridge, namely you will be amazed and amazed because when you are in the middle of the bridge, you can see the beautiful sea and also if you come at the right time like sunset/sunrise the view will be even better.

  • Bungkul Park

The park which has an area of 900 square meters is located on Jalan Taman Bungkul, Darmo, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City. The name Bungkul is taken from the title of a character named Ki Ageng Supo who received the title Sunan Bungkul.

Being an icon of pride for the people of Surabaya, because in 2013 this park was awarded as the best park in Asia from the United Nations through The 2013 Townscape Award.

How to visit Surabaya?

There are many ways to come to Surabaya. You can use Air Plane, Bus, or Train.

From The Capital City of Jakarta you can use Air Plane, Bus or Train, There are many class you can choice. Luxury class until Economy you may choice. These also the similar choice if you come from Semarang, Jogjakarta or Bandung

From Medan, Padang or Palembang better to take Air Plane, because these cities are long enough from Surabaya. But you can easily take bus or air plane from Denpasar, Bali you can easily taking either bus or air plane. In normal condition there are a lot of flight schedule from Denpasar to Surabaya everyday.
