Factory Outlets are dominated apparels retailing business in Bandung. But please be informed that different with others countries, factory outlets in Bandung (also in other cities in Indonesia) is not an outlet that managed by producer to sell their product directly to their costumer. Factory outlets in Indonesia are usually run by a wholesale seller who purchase overruns from many garment factories and sell them to the consumers. This is the reason why we can buy good merchandise cheaper than in common stores. This business type cut distribution chain that adds the cost. Factory outlets stores are very popular in Indonesia, with visitors and Indonesians alike.
The true factory outlets offer overruns and seconds on export garments at bargain prices.
We can find various major label like : Zara, DKNY, Hugo Boss, CK, Fendi, Elle, Alfred Dunhill, Nike, Reebok and many more
The shops carry both Grade A (best quality overruns) and Grade B (seconds with something wrong with them so they didn't pass quality inspection by the buyer - so-called "factory rejects").

Local production for the local market is offered in the shops as well, with a very different quality.
Whenever you are shopping, look at the quality, not just the brand, some of the clothing in the factory outlets is brand new and of great quality, but others have major defects which would make them not be a bargain, at any price. Be sure to check the entire garment (buttons, seams, etc) before you purchase it because they can not be returned or refunded because they are sold "as is".
