Lake Laot Bangko located Ujung Padang village a part of District Bakongan, South Aceh district. Majority people who lived around the site are Coastal Acehnese.

Laot Bangko Lake is a serenity place decorated with beautiful panorama and backed by ountains and pristine forest. This place is a perfect place for seeing and exploring virgin forest and observing wildlife.
From Tapaktuan (Capital district of Aceh Selatan) takes about 1.5 hours by road, then continued by using traditional boat down the river for about 8 hours, there is no overnight accommodation available on site, accommodation only available in Tapaktuan.
Some of the river empties into Lake Laot Bangko; through those rivers, we can access these tourist sites.
j. Mount Kemiri Climbing (3,314 M)
One of the starting points to climb the Summit of Mount Kemiri is Gumpang (a village in Gayo Lues Regency - Aceh Province, Indonesia) with estimated total travel time required for climbing about 4 days crossing Leuser Forest, and to back down from time required is shorted, usually need only 2 days.
From Kutacane, Gumpang can be reached on about 2,5 hours by public transport. Accommodation facilities and supplies located in Blangkejeren, in Gumpang there is a trail available for hiking. Climbing to the summit of Mount Kemiri generally enthused by foreign visitors, while Local visitors usually dominated by nature lovers’ student group.
At an altitude of 2500 m above sea level, you can enjoy the expanse of upland tropical shrubs forest, and then at an altitude of 2800 m a vast area of grassland will spoil your eyes with a broad greenish. There are some primates could accompany you during the journey like Orang Utan, Sumatran Gibbon or Siamang, but not only that, if you’re lucky you can meet face to face with a Deer or even Sumatran Tiger....
However, not all those are the main things, only a small bonus, because actually the real thing is when you meet with the dawn at the Summit of the Mount!

Jakarta - Medan, 2 hours flight
Medan to the site:
Medan - Kutacane - Gurah (+ 275 km), 8:35 hours by car.
Medan - Bohorok / Bukit Lawang (+ 60 km), 1 hour by car.
Medan - Sei Betung Sekundur (+ 150 km), 2 hours by car.
Medan – Tapak Tuan (+ 260 km), 10 hours by car.
