Types of batik based on making techniques:

a.      Batik Tulis (Handmade Batik)
Batik Tulis is a highest caste of Batik, this kind of Batik  come from  100 % handmade processing, beginning from designing of patterns, and so on, until the process of staining and washing. This is an old traditional technique, but still going on until now.  Batik Tulis technique require patience and precision to make it, a professional maker will need about 2 to 3 months to finish 100cm x 200cm batik. This could be the reason why Batik Tulis is relatively more expensive.
